Hamburger Patties

You can make 4-6 hamburger patties with 1lb of ground beef. Be sure to buy the 85% package.

Place your meat into a big mixing bowl. Crush up 1cup of croutons. The easiest way to crush them is to put them in a ziplock baggie and smash them with an ice cream scoop or something similar. Add those to the bowl.

Add 1 tsp onion powder, and 1tsp dried minced garlic. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Mix it all together with your hands. Shape them into patties bigger than your palm, as they will shrink.

Cook on the bbq appx 5-6min per side on medium high heat (450º or so). Grease will drip and run out. They're done when you gently push on them and they don't drip anymore. 160º is the minimum temp they need to be.

You can also just cut one open a bit and make sure it's not too pink. You can also "grill" them in a pan. If you do this, make your patties thin and add 1 tbsp of butter to your pan for each patty. Use the fan above your stovetop as they'll make a lot of smell this way.

Add cheese once the patty is done and cook until melted (another 3mins or so). Serve on toasted buns. Any extra patties are good for 2 days in the fridge.
